The event is part of the celebrations of Days of Grunwald, organized by the Grunwald municipality located in Gierzwałd. It brings together fans of historical recreation and is one of the largest produced by the "historical" circles in our country.

The purpose of this meeting is to promote history, recreation of culture, traditions and ancient crafts.
Since 1998 more than 3000 fans of medieval times from all around the world meet on the fields of Grunwald. Already we hosted representants of Germany, Italy, France, Finland, Czech, Slovak, Hungary, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and even the United States.

Every year we set ourselves new goals aiming at reaching the staunchest historical recreation…
The main point of the meeting is staging a battle on the anniversary of the Battle of Grunwald. More than 1400 knights enter the field to take part in the largest outdoor staging of a medieval battle in our country. And all this is happening in front of more than 100 thousand spectators.

We hope to develop the event so, that in 2010 when it will be the 600th anniversary of the greatest "victory" of Polish military forces, it would become one of the biggest events of this type in Europe.
